Lots Of Tea
It's Saturday morning and I am feeling good.
This morning I dropped Ria off at her work. She's doing the 6:30 shift on Saturdays for the next couple of months. I'm a little bit bummed about it, because I used to quite enjoy our Saturday mornings together, but as she says, I guess, we'll now be able to spend some time together in the afternoons. I did like the sleep-ins and breakfast though.
So I was home by 7:00. I thought about filling up the car on the way home, because my brother, David, was going to be going camping. The other day I asked him where he was going camping. He said, "North Queensland." I looked at him for a moment and asked him whereabouts in North Queensland and how long it was going to take him to get there. He replied, "Oh, I'm not sure where exactly, but it's about an hour and a half from here." So I guess that means that it wasn't exactly North Queensland. More an hour and a half North of Brisbane, Queensland.
In the end I didn't fill up the car and just came straight home. I got the dog out of the house and he picked up the paper. We went inside and I gave him a pat and took the paper out of his mouth. Then I put the kettle on.
Once I'd made my first cup of tea for the day I settled in to read a bit of the paper and to watch some rage. It was enjoyable. I had some more tea. It was very enjoyable. There were some good clips on, and the paper was okay.
Around 8 o'clock I brought my dirty clothes downstairs and put on a load of washing. Then I had another cup of tea. Then I watched some more video clips. Then the washing machine finished its cycle. Then I hung it out. Then I came back in and said hello to Dad, who was up and making some coffee. Then I had another cup of tea. Then I went to the toilet because I had drunk too much tea. Then I found some more things to wash. Then I washed them. Then I hung them out.
After I hung out the second load I had a look at the pool filter and creepy crawly. The creepy crawly wasn't functioning properly so I had a go at fixing it. Except I separated the hose from the crawly bit. In the deep end. I had to go for a swim.
The water was quite cold to start off with, but with the warm sun I was soon enjoying myself. I enjoyed myself in the water for a while. I did a few jobs in there, then I got out. Then I got back in again. Then I got out again.
I moved some wine around the house today as well. In preparation for Erin's party. I don't think that it would be a good idea to have a couple of cartons out in the open in case people go alcohol crazy later in the evening and start skolling whatever they can get their hands on.
Now I need to shower and then head out to QPAC. It turns out Dirty Dave isn't going camping an hour and a half North of Brisbane, Queensland afterall. One of his friends was bitten by a spider. Oh no!
