Hello Vera
I'm sitting here enjoying a cup of tea and a piece of pavlova. It's all very nice. The pavlova is from the Cheesecake Shop, and I've found their pavlovas to be of a consistently high quality. Light, airy and also a little creamy with some nice fruits on top to give it a little more flavour. Mmm. The cup of tea that I have complements it well.
Work these past few days has been pretty standard. I went up to the school today to pick up one of my prep kids and it still surprises me as to how good some of those little devils are on the monkey bars. It always seems to be the girls too, the boys just can't seem to get the hang of it. Maybe it's got something to do with rhythm.
Speaking of rhythm my brother Dirty Dave is off to see Pendulum this Friday night. It's on at the Arena, going from 9 til 5. Pendulum are being supported by Shredlock, Vinyl Slingers and the Rude Bwoyz amongst others. It's going to be a big night for drum and bass. I think that there might be some people there on drugs. I think that Dave might be out of his element a bit. It'll be a rocking night though, hopefully not too hot, although is it ever cool in that sweatpit they call the Arena?
I went to Coles yesterday and bought $60 worth of chocolate. Alot of that was cooking chocolate. I think that it's gross. In fact, I would almost go so far as to say I don't like chocolate. That's kind of untrue, but I don't love it as much as a lot of other people do. I just don't go in for it all that much. Jelly lollies like jubes and snakes and things..... I quite like those.
I didn't make it to swimming tonight. I didn't finish work until 5:45 and I couldn't be bothered. This means that this week I've only been down to the pool one night. Very poor. Next week is my last opportunity to get in there before it shuts down for the winter too. I'm going to need to find a replacement. What will I do? I really like swimming, maybe I'll see if I can go down to Chandler. Perhaps I could join Living Well for six months. Maybe I'll start getting into amphetamines. Or maybe not.
Tomorrow is a bit of a big day down at the centre. We're having a post-Commonwealth Games sports day. It's on at ten. And the directors going to a conference so I'm organising it. It's going to be shit. Well, maybe not, hopefully everyone will have a good time. Everyone who races is going to get a medal, so that's covered. I'm just not sure what types of races we'll have. Egg and spoon races? Sack races? Balloon between the knees races? Three legged races? Straight speed races? The grass is only about 15 metres long, and there is a big tree in the middle of it, so that can be an obstacle for them to dodge. I foresee tears. It should be a blast though, and it'll get the kids outside for a while.
That's about it for tonight. I'm going to try and get down to Yullah. If it's still open. I haven't had any shisha for some months now. Two apple rose, anybody?
