Thizzz
So I've been dicking around on the internet for the past half hour or so, and am now in a rush to get out the door.
The long weekend was a good one. David and I did a good deed on a cold and blustery Saturday morning. We delivered a chair to a lady in Taringa. Apparently she has schizophrenia, and she definately did have the crazy eyes. She was lovely though, and had a nice name. Her name was Rosemary. She wasn't always crazy. It only happened when she was involved in a car accident. I hope that she likes her chair.
After delivering the chair David and I decided to spoil ourselves a little bit by having Hungry Jacks for breakfast. It was a good decision, and I enjoyed my brekky wrap. Bacon. Sausage. Egg. Barbecue sauce. It was good. The wait for service wasn't though. It was a bummer.
After breakfast David and I came back to the Southside of town. I met up with Ria, who had just been the first finished in her final exam. We were heading down the coast for the day, so we packed our bags and hit the road.
On the way down there we made a quick detour to Woolworths at Daisy Hill and then to a friends house. They were having a party. Will Dodd is heading overseas, and so he was having a final bender with them. I had a woody with Will and caught up with Damo. It was nice. I also saved their frisbee ring from the roof, and saved Keagan from a broken neck.
Ria and I stayed for about an hour and then hit the road again. Once we arrived at the hotel it was time for a spa. The water in the spa was nice. The water in the heated pool was a little cool. The water in the unheated pool was cold. I went for 2 quick dips in the unheated pool. I could only last a couple of minutes before the ice cream headaches got too extreme and my brain hurt.
That night Ria and I headed out to Volare for dinner. It was shit. And expensive. And there was some crappy live entertainment. And the maitre'd had some offensive body odour. In all, not a great meal.
The next morning the weather had settled down a great deal and Ria and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Manolas Brother's Deli. Afterwards we had a short walk by the beach. It was nice.
Once it was time to check out Ria and I hit up Pacific Fair. This was not so great. We were looking for some clothes for Ria and had a look in the Jag store first up. Ria found some things in there that she liked, but seeing as it was the first store, decided to check out some other stores before purchasing anything. We spent the next 4 hours checking out the other stores. They had nothing. The only real upside to this was that I was able to buy a pair of shorts. The shorts were originally $130, but were marked down to $30. They are very nice shorts and I like them alot.
Finally it was time for Ria and I to return to Brisbane. So we did.
Once back here we bought some hamburgers and came back to my house. It looked like a bomb had hit it. It turned out David had some friends over night before. They drank alot of alcohol. Then they headed out into the night. By all accounts it was a huge night. David tried on half of the clothes in my bedroom, throwing the discarded items on the ground. Tom spewed on the bus on the way into town. David was punched in the face while holding open the door for the spewing Tom at a bus stop. David had a chunk taken out of his foot at some point. Joel tried to get out of the cab halfway home. David spewed in 2 different bathrooms.
It sounds like a big night.
Ria and I tried to go to the Normanby to meet up with some people, but that didn't happen as there was a monstrous lineup. Instead we went to the Lychee Lounge and had some cocktails.
Monday morning was brunch at my Grandmother and Aunt's house. The meal itself was wonderful. Things turned sour at the end though when my Grandmother went a bit funny. I think that her age is sending her a little bit paranoid. It's quite sad.
The rest of the day was spent digesting the food and playing with a baby.
Today was a good sort of a day. The weather has been beautiful. A little dry maybe.
When I returned from my lunch break today I was shocked to see an ambulance in the car park. One of the staff members has been having trouble with her blood pressure, and she took a bit of a turn. She ended up going into hospital. Hopefully she'll be okay.
Now I'm off to the supermarket to buy some groceries for a beef stroganoff. Yay!
