Crazy On You
So the last couple of days have been really nice. Thursday was a pretty sweet day. In the evening I went and saw Ocean's Thirteen with Ria, and even though I haven't seen the middle chapter of the trilogy, it was still very enjoyable. Another enjoyable part of that experience was taking Oporto burgers into the cinema. We hid them in Ria's bag. She was a bit nervous about sneaking some contraband in, but I'm an old hand at it, so I was able to reassure her. It was very delicious.
Friday was my birthday and it was a great day. I woke up with Ria, which is always nice, saved some water and had some breakfast. Honey on toast, I think. Once I arrived at work there were some well wishers and a big poster up in my office which was terrific. A lot of the children came up to wish me a happy birthday, and a few of the children ran away because they are scared of me. Oh well.
It was a nice morning, and I was able to help one father who was confused as to what day it was. His daughter has the same birthday as me, and when I asked him about it, he said that her birthday was the 15th. I had to remind him that Friday was the 15th. Apparently it was his mother's birthday that day as well. So it was a lucky escape.
Work itself was cruisy, with a cake in the middle of the day. Nothing too stressful at all. Dad also rang at lunch time which was nice, as it's been a few weeks since I've spoken to him.
After work I headed over to the house that I'm going to be house sitting. It's only the second time that I've been indoors there. I think that it's going to be fun. I'm really looking forward to having a place of my home. Heidi kept warning me about how cold it is though.
After I'd finished there I went and picked up Ria and a cake and then made my way to Nanna's place. It was time for a roast. Two roasts actually. There was lamb AND pork. How awesome is that?
The meal went well and at the conclusion I was given some great presents. Apparently I am going to be going up in a hot air balloon at some point. They say that it's best to go during winter times, so that should some freezingly good fun.
This morning I had a lovely breakfast with Ria with some fantastic bread. It was the nicest bread I've had in a long time. It was multigrain, and multigreat. If you ever get a chance to buy some bread from the Rock N Roll Deli, get the multigrain. I can give you the guarantee.
I'm not up to too much at the moment. It's a lovely day outside and I think that I should do something. So I will.
