A Certain Sense

I've had a pretty big last 12 hours so. It's been action packed. Highs. Lows. No middle bits. Just balls to the wall excitement. Well... that's almost true.

I guess you could say that it all started with the rain. It's been raining here for the past three days, and for the past three days I've had washing on the line. It hasn't been drying. It's just been hanging there, getting more and more wet. This posed a problem as I was quickly running out of undergarments. This was a situation that I desperately wanted to avoid, as I believe it is undergarments that makes us superior to the beasts.

So Ria hatched a plan that we would wash the clothes again (to stop them from stinking apparently) and take them back to her place where we could use the dryer. It was a good idea, so we put the plan into action. While we were waiting for the dryer to finish its job we decided to go and get some groceries. We skipped Coles and headed for Woolworths.

On the way to Woolworths, we were attmepting to make the right turn from Logan Rd into Chatsworth Rd when the car in front of us chose a gap that was too tight. She got T-boned by a car in the oncoming traffic. Poor judgement, failing light and falling rain were all contributing factors in this accident. Well, that's what I thought anyway. As I was the car behind her I stuck my hazard lights on and got out to see what was happening. The car that was hit (which was the car that was in the wrong) contained a grandmother with her two grandchildren. The grandmother was pretty shaken up and the kids were screaming in the back of the car. The grandmother kept saying how she had just finished visiting her daughter in the hospital.

The other lady in the accident, the one who did the hitting, got out of her car as well. She initially seemed okay, although the air bags had deployed and left a bit of a mark on her nose. Once the kids were out of the other car, and the ambulance arrived, this lady lost it a little bit and she started crying and stuff. A lady from a shop across the road came over and everyone went and hung out in there for a while, being attended by the ambulance officers.

Ria was the one who contacted the emergency services, and it wasn't long before all three were in attendance. It went ambulance, fire service, police service. There was lots of flashing lights, and the rain kept coming down. The accident had blocked off the entrance to Chatsworth Rd, but there was still a heap of people trying to get through there. It was really surprising actually how many idiots just kept roaring past and doing illegal u-turns and things. One guy was even doing burnouts. Crazy stuff.

Eventually I was able to leave my details with the police, then I jumped in the car and Ria and I bought some groceries. We had chilli con carne last night. It was very nice.

After we'd prepared dinner we sat down to watch a DVD. When I was in Blockbuster the other day I picked up the doco, Inside Deep Throat. It was very interesting, a little slow in parts and I feel that it left out some details. Linda Lovelace's story was a bit of a sad one. But there were some funny old Jewish guys who were swearing, and that always brightens my day.

Once the film was over we decided to cut all of my hair off. The first few strokes with the clippers were a might painful. Ria was unskilled in their use. She quickly picked it up, however, and before you could say Jack Robinson all of my hair was on the ground.

During the evening we also had a visit from our neighbor, Stuey. He seemed like a very jovial fellow. Although I don't know how good he is at shutting doors.

Why aren't I so sure that he's good at shutting doors? Well, after Ria and I had retired to bed for the evening, it was discovered that the front door was ajar. This happened at 2 in the morning, and I spent the next hour lying in bed wide awake with my ears picking out all of the little sounds in the house. My imagination was running over time and I got up twice to turn on all of the lights and inspect the house. Eventually I realised that I was probably now being silly and if there was anyone in the house I would have found them. So I went back to sleep.

I was a little more tired than usual this morning.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the other day that I discovered the marital aids the other day. They weren't really hidden either, it's just my domestic blindness that stopped me from noticing them before. I don't even know what one of them is. It's called Swedish Erotica or something, but I don't know where you stick it, or if you stick something into it. I didn't want to touch it too much.

Ooh Baby It's Raining

So it's Monday afternoon and it's raining outside. I'm sitting in a dark house, killing time before I go back home to talk to my Dad about what's going on with the centre. I've been watching helicopter crash clips on YouTube. Some of them were frightening.

Saturday night was a blast. I had a good time. I got pretty drunk and it was nice to see people I know. I did have a bit of a mood swing in the end and acted like a petulant child, but that has happened before, and it'll probably happen again. I could have bought a kebab with everyone else, but apparently I had to buy a meat pie and some crappy porno. Ria ended up eating most of my pie too. Bummer. The breakas were nice the next day.

Sunday was a pretty lazy day. The weather wasn't the nicest. Ria and I had a good breakfast though. Unfortunately after that our hangovers seemed to get worse. So what's a good thing to do with a hangover? Go shopping? Right!

We ventured over to Indooroopilly. That was okay. I managed to score a pretty sweet shirt. It was a third of the original price. The girl behind the counter told me how she'd spent the previous day in front of the toilet bowl. Too much drink and too much drugs. Ha! I love it when people I don't know from a bar of soap tell me all about the naughty things they do. It really brightens up my day.

After getting the shirt Ria and I had some Hungry Jacks. I went for the Mexican whopper, and Ria had a double whopper. Have you seen the size of the double whopper? It's massive! I was kind of hoping that Ria wouldn't be able to eat all of hers, because my Mexican whopper was pretty foul. It didn't have the sloppy goodness that I was looking for when I ordered a burger from Hungry Jacks. It was dry and just slapped together without any care. It was disappointing. Unfortunately Ria must have been hungry because she wolfed down the double whopper in next to no time. I was impressed.

Sunday afternoon was an anticlimax. There was a going away party that I would have liked to attend, but a few things conspired against me. Firstly there was Ria. Then there was the weather. Then the burger did some unpleasant things to my stomach. Then I needed a sleep. So I missed out. Which sucks.

Today has been a good day. Very interesting. It's time to go now. This has been 10 minutes.

Hearts Collide

Today has been a bit of a wasted day. It started well. I had baked beans on toast, which is one of my favourite ways to start the day. Then I took Ria to work.

After that I was supposed to go to a Tupperware party. At the party there was apparently going to be a quiz. If you answered a question correctly you were given some Tupperware dollars. The money that you won could then be used at an auction. It sounded like fun, and I've never been to a Tupperware party before. And there was going to be a sausage sizzle. Unfortunately I didn't make it. I got to the right suburb, then I got a call from my Dad, and then for some unexplicable reason I didn't feel like going anymore. So I didn't. I turned my phone to silent and I drove back to Carindale instead.

Once I arrived there I didn't do a whole lot. I played Guitar Hero for a couple of hours. That sucked. I am being frustrated by the song Jessica. I cannot seem to be able to beat that bitch. She has some pretty tricky solos, and the song is quite long. I did make some progress on it, and I did beat a few other songs, but I can't get past Jessica. I'll battle it out with her again another day.

After I picked up some clothes I left the house and went to Red Rooster. At Red Rooster I suffered through some appalling customer service, but ended up walking away with a strip sub combo. Which is always nice. While it was being prepared I bought some magazines at the newsagent next door. They're pretty shit. At least I think that they are. I only flicked through them. I wasn't really in a magazine reading mood.

I've been back at the house here for a few hours now. It's pretty cold. I hung out some washing before, but I don't think that it's going to dry. Which is a shame. Because it's the bed linen. I'm sure that there are other sheets around here somewhere, I just don't know where.

I've been having a fun time going through the house and all of the personal belongings. I found the stash the other day. It wasn't very well hidden. When Stuart was here yesterday I found some porno, which is always nice. Today I've been looking at all of the videos on the computer. There are some nice family ones, and it made me a bit sad to think that the family has since broken up.

I've also been smoking this afternoon, which is never a good call. Oh well.

Tonight I'm going to go to the pub. There's a few people coming so it should be fun. I should probably go and get my phone out of the car soon. Being antisocial is not so good.

Isn't Totally

So today wasn't the best day ever. There were some downers.

The first wasn't a major downer, but it still annoyed me slightly. I'm reading The Crow Road by Iain Banks, and I'm about 3/4 of the way through it. I've been enjoying it so far, but have been a bit mystified as to what has been driving the story. Things have been happening, and the narrative has jumped back and forth, but I haven't really known why. This could be because it's taken me quite a while to get this far into the book, stealing a few pages here and there where I can. Or it could be a deliberate ploy by the author. Either way, I'm really starting to enjoy it, and I kind of wished that I could have stayed in bed for an extra hour or so today to finish it off. It was not to be though. I had to go to work.

The next thing that kind of sucked was when I tried to get some bread and a sandwich. I hopped into the car, turned the key in the ignition and nothing happened. Well, something happened, but not quite what I wanted. What I wanted was for the engine to roar to life and spirit me away to the bakery. Instead all I got was a few hesitant coughs that died down to a sick wheeze. It was a shame. So Stu and Dad came around and tried to give me a jump. It didn't work. This forced me to join back up with the RACQ. That's okay though. So the RACQ car came out and fixed the problem. It was the battery. The one that we'd had in there was 4 years old, so that's no biggie.

It was the next incident that upset me the most. I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but we've had some chicks hatching from eggs at the centre for the past 2 weeks. There have been a couple of eggs that haven't hatched, but the vast majority have been healthy. Except for one. One chick wasn't quite as well as the others. Something wasn't right with it's legs. It couldn't support it's own weight. The other chicks were starting to clamber over it, and were starting to turn on it. Today was the day where the chick's number came up.

In the manuals that come with the incubator there is a list of things to do if something goes wrong. It says that if an egg doesn't hatch you put it in the freezer, then dispose of it. It says that if you have a chicken that is lame or diseased then it should be removed from the incubators. And killed. The most common method is neck dislocation.

None of the girls wanted to be the one. None of them could bring themselves to do it. I didn't know if I could. I went and had a look at the bird. I picked him up and took him outside. He was only a little chick. Barely a day old. He cheeped and chirped in my hand until I covered him with my other. He must have liked the dark. It must have reminded him of being in the egg. He was quiet again.

I placed the chicken on the table outside and watched him. The noise started again and he looked at me. He tried to move his legs, but didn't get very far. He tried to flap his wings, but they were underdeveloped too. I picked him up and covered him with my hands again. He was quiet.

I took him back inside and read the guidelines again. I spoke to the girls and they were all in agreeance. There was an offer to put him in the freezer, but I thought I could do it. It would be quick. It wouldn't drag out for half an hour. I would dislocate his neck.

I picked him up again, and took him outside again. I held him in my hands. Looked him in the eye and told him that I'd be quick. Then I put one hand around his neck, so that only his little head was poking out. Then I gripped and pulled.

His body spasmed for a while. I wasn't sure if I did it properly. He had stopped breathing. The spasms stopped eventually.

It was not a pleasant experience. I know that I eat meat products everyday, and that animals have to be killed in order for me to enjoy them, but it was still tough.

In other news there was an offer on the centre.

And I saw a punk rocker twice on Wednesday. I saw him in the morning. He was in Coles and wearing a very dirty pair of Dunlop Volleys. I saw him again in the afternoon. This time he was outside Coles. He was wearing a brand new pair of Dunlop Volleys.

I Can Do Much Better

So I'm housesitting at the moment and it is cold. Freaking cold. The house is an old Queenslander type and the cold doesn't just creep up through the floorboards, it is a permanent guest here. I will prevail though.

Over the weekend I did some good things. I cleared a couple of stages on Guitar Hero 2 on expert setting, including Sweet Child Of Mine. I had a lovely meal at Mecca Bah with Ria. I was able to witness a posse of drunk girls in full flight. I went for a brief swim in a cold pool. I visited the crematorium for my Mum's birthday. I had a horrible lunch that was totally overpriced and completely underdone at the Lava Bar. I watched The Departed.

So it was pretty busy. Not too outrageous, no crazy drinking, I was very well behaved, especially considering it was my birthday weekend. I also helped clean up the house for the impending return of my Father, who has been slaying dragons in far off nations.

Or not quite slaying dragons. More like attending conferences and getting frustrated with Japanese people who only speak Japanese.

Monday was work.

Monday night was taking Heidi, Tim, Kai and Luca to the airport so that they could fly to the UK, then spending my first night in their house. And not eating any dinner except for a handful of snakes.

I think that the not eating a proper dinner on the Monday night really stuffed me up for Tuesday, because I felt like I was behind the 8-ball all day. I got to work late. I had 2 breakfasts. I was disorganised all day. I did manage to accomplish some things, but I didn't do so well at others.

Last night I showed a guy through the child care centre. Lincoln Bridge was there, and he's more than just a pretty face. Apparently he owned a nightclub down in Melbourne for a number of years. And his mother is the president of Child Care Queensland. So there you go.

I wasn't too nervous last night when showing the guy around the centre. I still feel bad about the sale of the centre, but I've accepted that it's going to happen, and I want to make sure we get the best price possible for it. I just need to look at this as an opportunity for me to try something different. Something where there will be an opportunity for me to have a bigger income than my paltry current sum.

After the walk through I headed home for a barbecue. Dad had arrived back and it was great to see him again. He looked well and had some good stories to tell. I saw some interesting photos, but I think that I only saw about half of them.

We had an extra guest at dinner last night as well. Joshua is in town and he came over after having a long lunch with Richard. Joshua is in Brisbane for an interview with the Department of Agriculture. He believes that he smashed the interview, and that if he doesn't get one of the graduate positions, then he doesn't know what they're looking for. So good luck Josh!

Josh stayed the night here, and I hope that he didn't freeze. He was sleeping in Luca's bed.

I took Ria to work and am now updating my blog. Outside the wind is fierce and cold. Blowing straight in from the west. I'm going to wear long pants to work today. It'll be the first time in about 9 months. Certainly this year.

Crazy On You

So the last couple of days have been really nice. Thursday was a pretty sweet day. In the evening I went and saw Ocean's Thirteen with Ria, and even though I haven't seen the middle chapter of the trilogy, it was still very enjoyable. Another enjoyable part of that experience was taking Oporto burgers into the cinema. We hid them in Ria's bag. She was a bit nervous about sneaking some contraband in, but I'm an old hand at it, so I was able to reassure her. It was very delicious.

Friday was my birthday and it was a great day. I woke up with Ria, which is always nice, saved some water and had some breakfast. Honey on toast, I think. Once I arrived at work there were some well wishers and a big poster up in my office which was terrific. A lot of the children came up to wish me a happy birthday, and a few of the children ran away because they are scared of me. Oh well.

It was a nice morning, and I was able to help one father who was confused as to what day it was. His daughter has the same birthday as me, and when I asked him about it, he said that her birthday was the 15th. I had to remind him that Friday was the 15th. Apparently it was his mother's birthday that day as well. So it was a lucky escape.

Work itself was cruisy, with a cake in the middle of the day. Nothing too stressful at all. Dad also rang at lunch time which was nice, as it's been a few weeks since I've spoken to him.

After work I headed over to the house that I'm going to be house sitting. It's only the second time that I've been indoors there. I think that it's going to be fun. I'm really looking forward to having a place of my home. Heidi kept warning me about how cold it is though.

After I'd finished there I went and picked up Ria and a cake and then made my way to Nanna's place. It was time for a roast. Two roasts actually. There was lamb AND pork. How awesome is that?

The meal went well and at the conclusion I was given some great presents. Apparently I am going to be going up in a hot air balloon at some point. They say that it's best to go during winter times, so that should some freezingly good fun.

This morning I had a lovely breakfast with Ria with some fantastic bread. It was the nicest bread I've had in a long time. It was multigrain, and multigreat. If you ever get a chance to buy some bread from the Rock N Roll Deli, get the multigrain. I can give you the guarantee.

I'm not up to too much at the moment. It's a lovely day outside and I think that I should do something. So I will.

Quick And Easy To Apply

Remember how yesterday I said that I came back from my lunchbreak to find an ambulance in the centre carpark? Well, apparently the staff member who was in the back had a minor heart attack. I'm not sure if it was yesterday, or earlier, but she's still in hospital, and won't be back at work this week.

It's kind of scary. You know, you could be at work, telling a child to put the block down, or sweeping the floor, or changing a nappy, and next thing you know there's a massive pain in your chest and left arm and then you keel over. Imagine that.

I guess it could happen at any time. You could be crossing a street. Or driving up to get something from the shops. Or grabbing a frisbee off the roof. Or plugging an appliance into a socket. Still, I think that the staff member might have to give up the cigarettes.

One of the fun things about work is that I am able to indulge in my addiction for knowing other people's business. Now, I don't go overboard, and it's not a horrible affliction. It is something that I think that most people are interested in. I mean, no man is an island. So today there was a little bit of gossip to be found out there.

The first bit was actually quite nice. There was a family who came to the centre about six months ago. They moved down after living in Far North Queensland somewhere, on one of the islands in the Great Barrier Reef I think. When they moved down here, their relationship was a little strained, apparently. Once they made the move, the relationship broke down, and the parents separated.

They are now back together again. So that's great news!

Of course, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And today I learned that one of my favourite families at the centre are breaking down. I hope that it's not a permanent thing, I hope that there is still some love out there for them. Because what the world needs now, is love sweet love.

Queenslander!

Thizzz

So I've been dicking around on the internet for the past half hour or so, and am now in a rush to get out the door.

The long weekend was a good one. David and I did a good deed on a cold and blustery Saturday morning. We delivered a chair to a lady in Taringa. Apparently she has schizophrenia, and she definately did have the crazy eyes. She was lovely though, and had a nice name. Her name was Rosemary. She wasn't always crazy. It only happened when she was involved in a car accident. I hope that she likes her chair.

After delivering the chair David and I decided to spoil ourselves a little bit by having Hungry Jacks for breakfast. It was a good decision, and I enjoyed my brekky wrap. Bacon. Sausage. Egg. Barbecue sauce. It was good. The wait for service wasn't though. It was a bummer.

After breakfast David and I came back to the Southside of town. I met up with Ria, who had just been the first finished in her final exam. We were heading down the coast for the day, so we packed our bags and hit the road.

On the way down there we made a quick detour to Woolworths at Daisy Hill and then to a friends house. They were having a party. Will Dodd is heading overseas, and so he was having a final bender with them. I had a woody with Will and caught up with Damo. It was nice. I also saved their frisbee ring from the roof, and saved Keagan from a broken neck.

Ria and I stayed for about an hour and then hit the road again. Once we arrived at the hotel it was time for a spa. The water in the spa was nice. The water in the heated pool was a little cool. The water in the unheated pool was cold. I went for 2 quick dips in the unheated pool. I could only last a couple of minutes before the ice cream headaches got too extreme and my brain hurt.

That night Ria and I headed out to Volare for dinner. It was shit. And expensive. And there was some crappy live entertainment. And the maitre'd had some offensive body odour. In all, not a great meal.

The next morning the weather had settled down a great deal and Ria and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Manolas Brother's Deli. Afterwards we had a short walk by the beach. It was nice.

Once it was time to check out Ria and I hit up Pacific Fair. This was not so great. We were looking for some clothes for Ria and had a look in the Jag store first up. Ria found some things in there that she liked, but seeing as it was the first store, decided to check out some other stores before purchasing anything. We spent the next 4 hours checking out the other stores. They had nothing. The only real upside to this was that I was able to buy a pair of shorts. The shorts were originally $130, but were marked down to $30. They are very nice shorts and I like them alot.

Finally it was time for Ria and I to return to Brisbane. So we did.

Once back here we bought some hamburgers and came back to my house. It looked like a bomb had hit it. It turned out David had some friends over night before. They drank alot of alcohol. Then they headed out into the night. By all accounts it was a huge night. David tried on half of the clothes in my bedroom, throwing the discarded items on the ground. Tom spewed on the bus on the way into town. David was punched in the face while holding open the door for the spewing Tom at a bus stop. David had a chunk taken out of his foot at some point. Joel tried to get out of the cab halfway home. David spewed in 2 different bathrooms.

It sounds like a big night.

Ria and I tried to go to the Normanby to meet up with some people, but that didn't happen as there was a monstrous lineup. Instead we went to the Lychee Lounge and had some cocktails.

Monday morning was brunch at my Grandmother and Aunt's house. The meal itself was wonderful. Things turned sour at the end though when my Grandmother went a bit funny. I think that her age is sending her a little bit paranoid. It's quite sad.

The rest of the day was spent digesting the food and playing with a baby.

Today was a good sort of a day. The weather has been beautiful. A little dry maybe.

When I returned from my lunch break today I was shocked to see an ambulance in the car park. One of the staff members has been having trouble with her blood pressure, and she took a bit of a turn. She ended up going into hospital. Hopefully she'll be okay.

Now I'm off to the supermarket to buy some groceries for a beef stroganoff. Yay!

Pocket Spider

Man, it's pretty cold tonight. Very uncomfortable. I had to go to Trang and eat an Extra Large Special Beef Noodle Soup with Extra Vegetables to help me warm back up. Now my digestive system is working on overdrive and those chemical reactions are keeping me warm. I like it.

I woke up this morning fairly excited about it being Friday. Louise was away from work, and I thought that it was going to be a pretty cruisy Friday. The end of the week usually means that everybody has done all of the jobs that they want to do, and with the cooler weather everyone was pretty chilled out. (Ha!) So I had a bit of a sleep in with Ria then got ready for work. I thought I'd wear a long sleeve shirt today, one that probably should have been ironed. I didn't iron it though, I just wore a jumper over the top. I had a look in the mirror and thought that I probably should have a shave, but didn't worry about it. I barely managed to put on deoderant before I walked out the door.

This was okay for the first part of the day. Not a problem at all. No-one was coming to visit me, and everyone at the centre is used to my carefully thought out slightly disheveled look. Unfortunately I took a phone call just before lunch that caused me some concern.

The call was from the real estate agent who is going to sell the centre. He was ringing me because Dad is away, and apparently I've been given power of attorney. He wanted to know if he would be able to offer the centre to a consortium that is acquiring some centres around the traps. He said the price that he would be was going to offer it to them. He wanted my permission.

This was a bit of surprise to me. I wasn't really expecting to be dealing with these sort of heavy issues while Dad was away, and Dad hadn't really spoken to me about it. I listened to what he had to say, and thought about it for a moment then agreed. I mean, it's not like I was going to be a done deal today.

This made me a little bit nervous, but I put it back of my mind for the next hour.

Then the phone rang again. It was the real estate agent, and he wanted to let me know that the party he was talking to were very interested in the offer, and wanted to come down and have a look around the centre that afternoon. Again I agreed, as there's never a good time for these guys in suits to come down to the centre, and I wanted to get it over and done with. The agent then said that he'd fax through something to me, appointing him as the exclusive agent. I said, "Uh, okay."

He faxed it through, and I started freaking out a little bit more. This was a reasonably serious piece of paperwork, and I bugged out and headed over to my Dad's office to confer with Michael.

I spoke to Michael and he went through the paperwork with me, and we rang the agent again and made some adjustments to the agreement. I signed it up and faxed it back. The agent, whose name is Lincoln Bridge funnily enough, was helpful, but I kind of feel like I could be a bit out of my depth here. The guys who were to be coming through the centre were big fish, and I'm only in a little pond. They were going to eat me up!

Anyways, I ended up stressing out for nothing really. Nothing is happening this weekend.

Apparently Dad has said to Michael that he wouldn't be surprised if the centre was sold while he was away. It would have been nice if he could have told me about it. The real bummer in it for me is that if I sell the centre, then I sell myself out of a job.

This weekend I'm going to the beach. It should be nice. I hope that it's not too cold for a swim! It'll be invigorating!

Shock For The Stripes

Today there was some nice news at the centre.

Babies!

There's been a couple of births. One of them was Louise's nephew. His name is Zac. There may be an H on the end of his name. I'm not sure. He was 7 pounds something and a healthy baby boy with a head of hair. Apparently hair causes the mother to have heartburn during the pregnancy. I must have caused my Mum all sorts of troubles then, as I came out with a head of hair that even Sampson would have been proud of. I didn't know until just last year that my mother actually had to spend about 3 months leading up to my birth in hospital. I now blame the hair.

The other birth was to one of the families. They've already got 2 boys, and now they've got 3! They are a very nice family, with a lot of love. There is Naman and Juliette, they are the parents. Their boys are Felix, who used to come to the centre, and Hugo, who is currently at the centre. Hugo's middle name is Kinichi. Apparently Dad really liked a comic who's main protagonist is named Kinichi. Something like that. Hugo is blond haired and blue eyed. The newest addition to their family was born yesterday, they were hoping he would be born on 05/06/07, but it was not to be. They haven't given him a name yet, but I'm sure it will be a good one.

I was talking to Naman today and he said that this will be their last child. He said that he thinks this last one is pretty much perfect and that they can't improve on the work they have done. They want to go out on top.

There was some sad baby news today as well. One of the families was given some bad news. One of the parents siblings has had a baby. This was 7 weeks ago. They found out this week that their newborn has a degenerative neuro disease. The child only has a few weeks to live. This is very sad.

Sometimes life can be very cruel.

Consider The Ravens

Today has been a pretty typical sort of a Monday. Nothing terribly exciting has happened.

Actually that's not quite true. I just saw a segment on Cops and that was exciting! There was a black "little person" doing backflips on the side of the strip in Las Vegas. The policeman pulled up, the little person ran away then climbed up a light pole.

The policeman managed to coax him down then arrested him. Then the little guy tried to break free from his handcuffs using brute strength. It didn't work. Then the policeman called in his superior officer, the Sarge. The Sarge and the original police officer spoke to the handcuffed little person and decided that they'd take him to a venue on the strip that employed little people to do circus tricks.

They arrived at the venue, the little person prisoner was greeted by another little person who shook his hand, even though he was still in handcuffs. The owner of the venue then appeared. The policemen uncuffed the little person, who then proceeded to do several backflips. The owner was impressed and agreed to give him a job. Even though he had arrived in a police car. And handcuffs. And was homeless. And crazy.

Still, it was nice to see something like that on Cops. Especially when it had been an otherwise uneventful day.

Apart from eating half a kilo of sausages. And 3 potatoes worth of mash. I still feel very full.

Who Is Pete

I woke up this morning with a bad hangover, and my penis was missing again.

Well, only half of that is true. But it's a great start to a song.

So I woke up this morning and I felt particularly average. Last night I enjoyed a few cocktails at the Bowery and they sort of knocked me for six. I had a couple of zombies and a few other ones as well. I drank one with Kahlua in it that was actually Ria's. Which is kind of strange because I don't like that stuff. Oh well.

Before being drunk at the Bowery I was at Tony and Emma's new place. It's a lovely Queenslander, and is a terrific house. It was nice to see Tony and Emma too, as it's been a while. And there was a special guest last night. His name is Jim and he's from Melbourne. He is in Brisbane to shoot an ad for VB Gold. Tony and I met Jim in Niseko. He was one of the dudes who came cat skiing. He was somebody that I thought that I would never see again. It was nice to catch up with him. He's a funny dude. And he liked buying drinks, which is always a good quality to have.

So the night didn't end so well. I was pretty drunk and I pushed into the front of the taxi queue. Ria had to watch tv for an hour when we got back to her house. Apparently she could feel the Earth rotating on it's axis whenever she closed her eyes.

Today has been a quiet day. I had some awesome Hungry Jacks earlier on, and I'm off to have turkey with Ria's sister tonight. I'm excited about that. I can't recall having ever eaten turkey carved straight from the carcass. I'm sure that I would have at some stage, but I'm looking forward to it tonight.

I've been playing a lot of Guitar Hero 2. Again. Dirty Dave and I are only 3 songs away from completing the game on the hard setting.

I guess that's about it. Today has been a wasted day. I haven't even put my phone on the charger. That means it's flat. That sucks.

Blog Of Nothing

I have been refraining from typing recently because I fear that whatever comes out my fingers will be hate. There has been one issue at the forefront of my thought processes for the past two weeks, and that is my sister. I can't stand the bitch.

She's seriously been fucking me off for a while now. It sucks. Let me think of a few words I would like to use about her. Rude. Self-centred. Selfish. Ungrateful. Ungracious. There are many others, but I'm sure you get my drift.

She's even tainted what would have been a loving post about Paniyiri (it is still one of my favourite days of the year, even though I was almost fleeced by a carnie). I just love Greek food, Greek people and a Greek atmosphere. I even love Greek Love.

That's right.

Just kidding. Anyways, I gotta get rolling. My Dad is off to Japan and the States tomorrow, so we're going out for dinner tonight. We're having Chinese at the Pine and Bamboo. The owner there has a flat top.

I saw a Lamborghini last week. It was orange and had very fat tyres.

I bought new tyres for the car.

And I had it serviced.

I bought some red jeans. And some books.

Sorry for being lazy and not trying hard enough to get to a computer to write down what has been happening.
